TeamViewer is a free / shareware (for business use) remote desktop software. You can create an online account and register �remote computers� in your list to connect to with ease. The remote computers must also have TeamViewer installed, however they do not need an account to receive remote assistance.

TeamViewer allows you to take over the remote computer, transfer files, start a webcam / voice chat session, connect to a VPN network, show presentations, make screen recordings, and more. It is very easy to setup and use. Highly recommended if you have multiple computers you wish to use from a distance or help a friend out on his / her computer.

Acronis True Image 2010

Acronis True Image is in my opinion the best disk and partition backup solution on the market. The interface is user friendly and above all, the software is very fast and stable. I have used the previous version 2009 and I must say that they made big improvements on the 2010 version with stability and speed.

Acronis is design to make regular backups of your files and even your entire system to another disk. In case your system crashes or your hard disk fails, you can simply restore your system without spending hours to reinstall windows and all your programs.

Acronis True Image 2010 is not free, but compared to the other disk backup solutions it is well worth it. Mainly because you can schedule your backups (set it and forget it), have an email sent to you when backup is done (or failed), and best of all, the ability to exclude certain files (large pagefile.sys and hiberfil.sys) and folders (folders with large files such as movies and music that you do not need to backup, but rather sync to another disk on a daily basis).
