Type Accents

 

How come it is easier to type accents on a cell phone with Windows Mobile 6.5 than in Windows? Why can�t Windows have a feature where all you have to do is press and hold the E key (or press a special key in combination with E) and get a popup menu that asks you what type of E you want? Now you can with a program called �Type Accents� by Mophy Software. The program has a built in set of various languages and you can even add your own language. The program is not free but well worth the money!

Hitman Pro 3.5

Because not all antimalware programs can detect all viruses, trojans, worms, etc�.one will have to run multiple antivirus tools to scan and clean your system. Hitman Pro provides a solution to scan your system using multiple AV engines at once and even has a cloud based system that can detect unknown threats. The scanner is free and super fast! However, to remove the threats you will have to register (free for 30 days per computer). Make sure you uninstall it if you intend to run it once to clean your system, otherwise it will startup with Windows.

This application is not designed for prevention but rather for detection and cleaning of your computer from malware.

Nav N Go iGO

iGO is a GPS navigation software for Windows Mobile (and also iPhone). I was always a TomTom user until I tried iGO. The interface, maps and usage are a lot better than TomTom in my opinion. What I like most about iGO is that they paid close attention to what the user wants. The data on the main map display can be customized (speed, distance, time, etc�). Get a warning when you are driving too fast, custom wallpaper, save a trip log and a lot more. One of the most intuitive features that I really love is the smart way of searching for names. When you start to type a street name, only the characters that can be used are visible on the screen keyboard. The keys that are simply not needed (because your search would have no results if you would type that key) are left away so you don�t mistype. You have to simply see it in the video, really simple but genius concept.
